This site introduces you to a new and ongoing clinical trial which provides light treatments for depression during pregnancy at Yale University, Columbia University, and the University of Pittsburgh.

All of our treatments are taken at home. Enrollment is without cost, but restricted to people who live in the areas near our centers who can visit our clinic periodically for clinical assessments.  We describe our work and provide a preliminary application form for participation that you can download and return, confidentially, by fax or mail. You will also find case descriptions for patients who have been in our studies, describing what it is like to be a participant, and a summary of the clinical syndrome we work with.

Click on the button below to see the WNBC New York News report on our study. (By modem the download takes about six minutes, by DSL or Cable the transfer is almost instant.) If needed, please download the free "Quicktime" player to display the video on your Macintosh or Windows Compatible Computer:

We are currently recruiting women to participate in studies.

Q: "I have been feeling down in the dumps, even though being pregnant is supposed to be wonderful. Do I have antepartum depression? Is treatment available?"

A: Click on the "INFO" button above to learn more about Depression during Pregnancy and how, if you qualify,  you can receive a clinical evaluation, at no cost.
